After the Galactic Cival War, the new Jedi became more neutral than

their dogmatic forbearers. This is, no doubt, because the ‘Butcher of
Yavin’ (Luke Skywalker) was their leader. While good at heart, Luke was
corrupted by the Evil Rebellion into murdering Imperial Soldiers and
ordering Ewoks to their deaths. When such an evil person tried to
become a master of the light side, neutral was as far as he could get.

Anyway… heading over to the coast for a bit this weekend… will be home later for family stuff (for those of you who will be there as well). Have a memorable Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

dreamtide
…the tide of time and dreams flows over me, leaving my hair stiff with rainbow salt… the throbbing in my shoulder awakens me, remnant of the wound the Ganeshite gave me with her lies. then
She smiles and the tide of time and I ebb… I am pulled back into darkness, into peace…. who forms darkness and creates light…
the dream comes true moments after having had it
the wave rises

i burn… all is being stripped away…
My favorite new acquisitions include the Prius, the Satellite, and I think the Librie’ will score third when it comes in (Yay Dynamism!), although it will tie with the Treo which I forget I even have because it has become so integral in day to day operations. The Zen PMC is still up there because my mp3 library still fits on it, and I like anime music vids at odd moments, because they juxtapose oddly with my life.

Spin the wheel
“Those are the voices of twelve thousand killed in a typhoon, seven thousand killed by a hurricane, three thousand buried by a cyclone. Am I boring you? That’s what the wind is. It’s a lot of people dead. The wind killed them, took their minds to give itself intelligence. It took all their voices and made them into one voice. All those millions of people killed in the past ten thousand years, tortured and run from continent to continent on the backs and in the bellies of monsoons and whirlwinds. Oh Christ, what a poem you could write about it!”
- Allin, from The Wind by Ray Bradbury (a short story included in The October Country)
Mini-skit: People longingly reaching out toward each other, separated by glass panes, only to strike upon the surface, and with a sigh of resignation, withdrawing, then bowing their heads in silence. Again and again this happens. Fade to grey. The sound of shattering glass is heard.
The End
“Zion, hear me! It is true, what many of you have heard. The machines have gathered an army and as I speak, that army is drawing nearer to our home. Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it. I stand here, before you now, truthfully unafraid. Why? Because I believe something you do not? No, I stand here without fear because I remember. I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me but because of the path that lies behind me. I remember that for 100 years we have fought these machines. I remember that for 100 years they have sent their armies to destroy us, and after a century of war I remember that which matters most…We are still here! Today, let us send a message to that army. Tonight, let us shake this cave. Tonight, let us tremble these halls of earth, steel, and stone, let us be heard from red tar to black sky.Tonight, let us make them remember, this is Zion and we are not afraid.”
- Morpheus, The Matrix Reloaded
Dream
I dreamt of theaters. Large and small, some empty and some full. I practiced a short monologue in each one. Many applauded. Others remained still. It seemed like this would go on forever until I reached a theatre greater than any I had seen. The seats were padded with red velvet, and it’s tiers seemed to extend up into the heavens. The seats were all empty as well. It was shaped in the same way as the Globe on the outside, a tall cylinder reaching much higher than it’s predecessor. Then I heard the theater’s name.
Beyond the Pale
We have moved to the end.
They don’t look anymore. People used to look at me and you could tell that they were finding some sort of way to write me off, as an anomaly, a stereotype, another face in the crowd. They don’t anymore. They look away.
The trembling uncertainty that is glossed over by distractions has replaced judgement. Break on through to the other side.
Apparently I look like an ‘alternative’ guy. Not someone who’d have a computer. Not someone who’d get a Treo. [shrug] What does that even mean? An alternative guy?
oi
Now I look like an alternative guy with a Bluetooth headset. We are SidVicious of Borg. Your ass will be immolated.
