Wow. Couldn’t have imagined I’d be here 5 years ago when I was spun out and sleeping on people’s couches (and had been doing so for about 5 years at that point)

Got a new job working for a friend of mine. I do tech support for a program he wrote, as well as some other duties. Nothing too tough, but it does require tact and whatnot. I like it so far. The good thing is that I do most of my work on Skype and our support ticket software, which means I get to work from home. I’m also on salary, and I get to work with someone familiar. All in all, I’m pretty pleased with the scenario.

Dream

by Casey

dreamed i was in a virtual reality sim. I was looking for something and I went past the areas safe for my level. I knew the hunters were after me, but I still didn’t see what I was looking for. I blazed through a long hallway that had doors opening into a multitude of worlds. I got almost to the end and turned around. A short man with a martial artist’s build was standing there. He explained that he was based on the Al Khidr template and that so was I. I noticed the similarities and then followed him when he started running. He entered someone’s small apartment and walked through their TV cabinet. I begged the sims sitting on the couch to put Lily through the cabinet, but the door was closed. I was trapped. Then the world dissolved, and I realized he had opened the door for me and Lily as well.

Dreams

by Casey

Wierd dreams last night after Simchat Torah. It was an awesome ceremony (WITH SCHNAPPS!!!), even if I can’t hold the Torah till after my conversion.

Dreamed that there were 10 huge black cockroaches that I had to kill. I saw where they were, but I had a very short amount of time to kill them before they would lay eggs. I killed 7 of them easily, but the last three were tougher. They began to lay eggs, but I smashed the pods then the egg-layers. I got all the way to the last one, and smashed him, then the eggs which almost hatched before I got them. The guts splattered everywhere. I felt the need to shower.

made an appearance in a different section of the dream as a commander of some sort of operations hq. On a mission of some sort, and I ended up assisting her agents somehow. Don’t remember much more.

Came to the conclusion that the letter system I’ve been using is somewhat flawed due to two reasons:

1) The vowel points I assigned to energetic movements. The Bahir contradicts me on this and ascribes energetic movements (motivations) to the Cantillation points. Not only that, but it also ascribes to the vowel points a different trait that I hadn’t thought to include, and that is a center’s reaction to energy. Certain vowels act as a firewall, while others are open doors, and still others open specific connections in one direction. I’ll need a bit of time to assess the differences, but ultimately I think this will be a very good thing as it will create a gald’r-like system.

2) I’d taken no account of the tagin at all. My interpretation initially is that the tagin represent the natural “bandwidth” of an individual letter. 3 tagin letters can throughput more current, while 1 tagin letters can do less, and no tagin letters might create only pools.

My Soncino CD came in and I’ve been perusing it as much as possible. Must say though, it really helps me appreciate the Pritzker Ed.s more.

Oh yeah… a shoutout to the NeoHasidim. They showed up in my inbox this week (I get a lot of wierd stuff from the ExK owner account) and I thought I’d give them a nice link here.

Had to post this as evidence for the importance of punctuation.

In case you can’t read it, it says: “Wear your safety belt every time it matters.”

..More later (When I’m not Treo-posting)…

It’s my son’s birthday tomorrow, so we went to Adventure Park and had a blast. The laser tag was pretty cool, although I must admit that I had a leg up on everyone else because I’d been there for our company ‘picnic’ and gotten to practice.

Now we are chillin’ at Borders, reading books and sipping espresso and hot chocolate (depending on what side of 18 you’re on).

I told my mom she should come hang out when I’m home, since I haven’t seen her in awhile. I really wanted to tell her that I miss seeing her, but there’s still a big barrier there that I need to break down before I do the more serious work of teshuvah.

Even so, it has been a good day.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I bought the kids the lower end Emac at CompUSA. They love it. It’s funny, ’cause I grew up on an Apple ][+ and later was an aide in our junior high’s computer lab which was entirely populated by Macs. They seem to really like it, and that makes me happy too.
