One of the problems with proceeding upon the path of the seeker is that as one acquires knowledge, it combines with things previously known to create new forms, and new arts. Gnosis interacts with praxis and changes it. This process transmutes the very thought processes of the mind and must be done carefully. Because of this, it is often wise to utilize different personae to store different sets of knowledge. In these personae, different epiphanies can be stored and intermixed with the same basic knowledges (again, praxis) to different effect. The problem with personae is that eventually, they can become rigid and difficult to absorb back into the primary persona. This leaves entire sets of knowledge stranded and inaccessible. Another problem is that with age, these personae begin to blend back into the primary persona, rigidity intact. Where the primary persona may have been fluid, the alternates may have been dogmatic bastards. There is currently no known solution to this problem, although I have experimented with using a combination of Arrepsia and Morpheus to treat this. The solution? There really is no silver bullet here. Even within a single path, the actual epiphanies that individual mysteries lead to may conflict. I feel that with proper intuitive development during childhood, it may be possible to eliminate such issues, but even that is not foolproof.

Control
The problem I have with that control bit (things under your control vs. things not under your control) is that first, it’s a false dichotomy. Control is not a simple subject. There are both gradations and mutualities, temporary and permanent inequities. There are things that exert degrees of control on you while you are exerting your own right back. Simplification of this process might seem beneficial in the short term, however the wording suggests that the byproduct of this little meme is a mindset based on control/being out of control. In that sense we can see Umberto Eco’s adept/mystic definition creeping back into the mindspace of the occult community. It’s almost as if the meme is designed as a sorting hat between mystics and aspiring adepti. Is this what we’re reduced to?

Dream
Dreamed that I had mapped out the P’ville ley lines again, and had discovered that some weird neo-Nazi group was sitting on all the nodes. In P’ville, we had a theory that someone had been murdered or raped on all the local ley line nodes. These neo-Nazis were moving in their leaders to houses and properties that coincided with the locations we had mapped these nodes to. I had found a way to drop an item onto the locations that would reverse the flow, and thereby purge all the negativity contained in the node and somehow destroy the person camping on it as well. K was in the hospital and as long as I was in the vicinity of one of the nodes, I couldn’t contact her. People kept talking to me, Fallen-style, as the mouth of the collective evil that had infested the ley energy of the land.
